Pitch Diameter Ball Contacts

Thread Check Inc. offers a complete range of ball contact points manufactured by Gagemaker to inspect pitch diameter. Pitch diameter ball contact points are selected by threads per inch pitch in millimeters similar to thread measuring wires. Like thread measuring wires, the ball contact seats in the thread groove and touches the thread flank at the pitch line.

The precision carbide ball contacts are used with the PD-6000 and PD-8000 gages for pitch diameter size inspection.

Contact point diameters are manufactured to tolerances of +.0002”. Pitch diameter gages require two contact points. Contact points have threaded shanks are available in #4-48UNF and M2.5x.45. Special diameter contact points not listed in our catalog are quoted upon request.
