Wide-Loc™ Overview
Wide-Loc is a modified female thread from that mates with a standard bolt or screw to produce a self-locking thread which is resistant to loosening due to vibration.
Thread Locking Thread Form
When the bolt, screw, or nut is tightened, the crests of the male threads on the bolt are pulled up against the ramp and wedged into place creating a locking thread. The bolt can not move or vibrate laterally.
