gages are manufactured in tungsten carbide material. Carbide Plug Gages are manufactured
in gage maker tolerances of class ZZ, Class Z, Class Y, Class X, Class XX, Class
XXX and Class XXXX. All Carbide Plug Gages are ground and lapped to a 5 micro inch
surface finish or better. Carbide material provides exceptional wear properties.
Chrome Plug Gage: Thread Check, Inc. manufactures reversible, taper-lock, and tri lock

Chrome Plug Gages are manufactured from tool steel and coated with a hard chrome
coating that extends the wear life by more than 100% providing dramatic savings on
replacement costs. Chrome Plug Gages are manufactured in gage maker tolerances of
class ZZ, Class Z, Class Y, Class X, Class XX, Class XXX and Class XXXX. All Chrome
Plug Gages are traceable to the National Institute of Standards and Technology – NIST.
Class ZZ Pin Gages: Thread Check, Inc. manufactures Class ZZ pin gages in a size range
from .040” up to 1.010” and the equivalent in millimeters. Class ZZ pin
gages also referred to as reversible plug gages and pin gages are manufactured in
tool steel, and black guard coating. Class ZZ Pin Gages are manufactured in gage
maker tolerances of plus .0002” and minus .0002”. Class ZZ Pin Gages
are manufactured in 2.0” lengths. Class ZZ Pin Gages can be manufactured to
lengths exceeding 6 inches. All Class ZZ Pin Gages and Plug Gages are ground and
lapped to a 5 micro inch surface finish or better.
Gear Measuring Wires: Thread Check, Inc. manufactures a complete range of gear measuring
wires for inspecting gears, splines and worm threads. Gear Measuring wires are typically
supplied in stets of 2 but can be supplied in sets of 3 for specific applications.

custom Hex Plug Gages and Square Gages to customer requirements. Go/No Go Hex Plug
Gages are ideal for inspecting head fasteners. Custom Hex Plug Gages can be supplied
in special lengths. Hex Plug Gages are available in tool steel, hard chrome, carbide,
and ceramic materials. Hex Plug Gages can be supplied in sizes as small as .028” of
an inch. Metric sizes are available in sizes ranging from .2mm and up. Hex Plug Gages
are supplied in single end and double end assemblies. All Hex Plug Gages are traceable

Master Setting Discs: Master Setting Discs are designed to calibrate and set comparators,
snap gages, and other precision measuring instruments. Master Setting Discs are furnished
with insulating grips to prevent heat distortion in laboratory environments where
temperature change can effect calibration. Master Setting Discs are designed to satisfy
quality control traceability requirements and are available in 3 sizes. All of Thread
Check’s Master Setting Discs conform to ANSI B47.1. Master Setting Discs are
ring lapped to size and polished.
